I swim in the darkness
I fight in the light
I jump into doubt
I walk in uncertainty
I try to run away
I try to follow a path

Though...

I chose to see a lie
I prefer to sleep in screams
I don't want the truth

I want blindness

Between temptation and madness

lingering beside me
your darkness touching me so lightly
sending shivers through my spine
And all I want is to sucumb to you
To kneel by your feet
You overpower me
And I want to submit

So why bother with steel barriers?
Why should I even try to cry out?
To call out for help?
To deny this craving?
Why resist temptation
When you're already inside me
under my skin
and in my breath
